Eleven Early Stage Researcher (ESR) positions are now available in the YEASTCELL Marie-Curie ITN. YEASTCELL -Yeast Cell Factories: Training Researchers to Apply Modern Post-Genomic Methods In Yeast Biotechnology.

What we offer:
• A mentored PhD research project in a leading European Yeast Biotechnology Centre
• Registration for a PhD at a top level European University
• Collaboration with, and secondment to, other partners over the course of the project
 • One secondment to the industrial sector
 • A comprehensive training programme that includes the award of a Postgraduate Certificate in Innovation, Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship as well as a PhD
 • A 36 month contract on EU Marie Curie rates (€38k/pa + mobility allowance)

What we require:
 • A BSc or MSc degree in microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioinformatics, computational biology or similar discipline
 • Demonstrated track record of motivation and high academic achievement
 • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
 • Compliance with EU Marie Curie ITN eligibility requirements (see www.yeastcell.eu)
 • Willingness to undertake secondments and training with different partners
